This past summer, in partnership with the Loudoun County Public Schools McKinney-Vento program, Good Shepherd of Northern Virginia raised over $50,000 to support “Christmas in July” for McKinney-Vento students. These students were able to shop with vouchers at the Good Shepherd thrift stores for clothing, shoes, toys, and other supplies. “Christmas in July” soon turned into Christmas throughout the year as students and families experiencing homelessness have been able to shop for essential items every Sunday.
